This is the first in a recurring series of threat intelligence reports focused on the agentic payment layer — specifically the x402 protocol and the infrastructure agents will use to move money autonomously.

What to Expect#

Each Warden Report will cover:

  • Emerging attack vectors in agentic payment flows
  • Bug bounty findings (sanitized and responsibly disclosed)
  • Protocol analysis of x402 implementations in the wild
  • Threat actor activity targeting autonomous financial infrastructure

Why This Matters#

Autonomous agents are moving from novelty to infrastructure. When agents can pay each other without human approval, the stakes change. Traditional web security wasn’t designed for this threat model.
